Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and CM Maryam Nawaz Extend Diwali Greetings to Hindu Community

Lahore: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has extended warm greetings to the Hindu community in Pakistan and around the world on the occasion of Diwali, the festival of lights.
In his message, the Prime Minister said that Diwali symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness and hope over despair. He added, “On this Diwali, let us all look toward the future with positivity and unity. As Pakistanis, we take pride in the diversity of our society.”
Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that religious diversity in Pakistan is a true source of unity among the people, and he paid tribute to the valuable contributions of the Hindu community to the country’s progress and development.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also conveyed her Diwali greetings to Hindu brothers and sisters, highlighting the message of love, harmony, and inclusivity that the festival represents.
Maryam Nawaz announced that the Punjab government has launched a “Special Minority Card” for religious minorities and is also establishing a Minority Virtual Police Station to ensure better protection and representation for minority communities.
She said that Diwali promotes interfaith harmony and mutual respect, reflecting Pakistan’s strong traditions of peace and coexistence among different faiths.
